Stokes McCune has been in love with auctioneering since he grew up working with Ellett McGeorge.  Stokes retired as a homicide detective with Henrico County and now owns Henrico Bonding Company. He volunteers to auction at charity events and work with the Henrico Police Foundation. Stokes is energetic, fun, and respected as the auctioneer at St. Bridgette’s and St. Gertrude’s, and has cajoled and flirted with many diverse crowds.  Each auction has a special festive mood and rhythm that Stokes nurtures.   In addition to volunteering at auctions, Stokes has been organizing the Annual Church Hill Irish Festival (this year’s 25th festival March 20th and 21st in historic Church Hill for the last 10 years.  That takes a whole year to get ready!  Stokes creates excitement and buzz during each fundraiser, an urgency to bid during the silent auction, and a bidding frenzy during the live.  We are eagerly anticipating Stokes working the crowd at the Boomer Ball!
